What is a DELE certificate?

DELE is an official diploma issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, and granted by the Cervantes Institute which certifies your degree of knowledge of Spanish language.

What are the benefits of having a DELE certificate?

A DELE certificate is an advantageous addition to any CV as it would enable you to develop prospects in Spanish speaking countries. The DELE certificate is recognised among private and public bodies and can also be used to evidence skills in Spanish needed to access educational institutions, including schools and universities. Also, if you are in the process of obtaining the Spanish nationality, one of the requirements you need is the certificate of Level A2 (only for citizens of non-speaking Spanish countries).

You will obtain a certificate of the second most spoken language worldwide.

Its validity does not expire, so you can use it throughout your professional career.

Which levels can you take?

You can take any of the levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2) established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). To be able to sit one of the exams, it is not necessary to have taken another DELE exam before or any other Spanish exam of a lower level.

How can you prepare for the exam?

To sit one of the DELE exams, you should have previous knowledge of Spanish language and it is advisable to get familiar with the structure and functioning of the tests.

I am an accredited examiner for DELE B1 and B2 levels, but I can also help you prepare for a lower or higher level DELE exam.

During my DELE Exam Preparation course, we will review previous DELE exams, learn exam techniques, improve your response style and practice specific exam tasks to develop all the language skills needed for the exam. You will also receive lots of tips on how to arrive at the exam with impeccable preparation.

You also have to know that it is a demanding course due to the nature of the test you are taking, so I make sure you work hard to achieve your goal of passing the DELE.
